Roel Spans new Managing Director of USoft

Following a period of several years in which USoft, under the name Ness Benelux, was a division of Ness Technologies, the company is now back in Dutch hands. The focus will now turn increasingly towards the USoft product. USoft continues as the supplier of high quality software products and solutions for Dynamic Business Process Management, and for building applications using Model Driven Architecture on the basis of the Business Rules Engine.

Roel Spans, together with Crétien Jung will lead this transition. Spans comes from Capgemini, where he worked for a total of eleven years. In the last year, he was both managing Director of Capgemini Financial Services in Switzerland, and Business Unit Manager of the Heerlen location. In the latter position, he was responsible for sales and delivery in the south of the Netherlands.

Spans, enthusiastic about the challenges he has before him: 'We are returning focus to the marketing of USoft as the distinctive product supplier for Business Process Management and Model Driven Development. Another important objective is the expansion of our partner program. We are looking for partners who complement us in the areas of business knowledge and technology, so that we can join forces to develop solutions that will strengthen our vertical market position.'

Spans is full of confidence that the objectives will be achieved within the planned timeframe. 'USoft is a strong brand, that is renowned for the quality of its solutions. In my first few weeks working at USoft, I see that reflected in the expertise and enthusiasm of the employees.
