USoft updates product names
Category: General
USoft has decided to change a number of the product names from the Language Based Process Management Suite. The names of the Requirements tools: USoft Natural Language and USoft Process Modeling will become URequire and UDesign, respectively.
There are various reasons for these changes. The product name USoft Natural Language (UNL) was considered to be too long by the market. In addition, the acronym UNL was often confused with UML (Unified Modeling Language), which is a totally different concept.
The relationship between the products in the Language Based BPM Suite is close, so USoft has chosen to use a consistent branding pattern to improve product recognition in the market. This means that in addition to URequire and UDesign, future product names will also start with a capital U (from USoft!).
