The first low-code phenotyping database on the market is launched by PhenoVation

With USoft’s experience in modular constructions of software, PhenoVation is launching a low-code database application. The first one in the agrochemical sector, which creates a unique position for themselves. Their customers can take measurements faster and more objectively than ever and the low-code application provides a major improvement in efficiency in the processing of crop photos.

The challenge

This low-code database project is groundbreaking for the industry. USoft’s low-code platform accepts the challenge to build a database application for the agrochemical sector.

Building a database that can rank and analyze large numbers of crop photos in real time. This way researches will be able to use the database to quickly make result analysis and thus determine the best strategy for their crop research.

The solution

The low-code platform of USoft, is the answer on how to build innovative software for complex applications that exactly fits the needs.

What started as a young start up from a school assignment has now grown into a growing and successful company. PhenoVation’s systems measures thousands of plants a day on more than a hundred different parameters. Before, crop photos were manually encoded into various documents, which caused considerable delay in data analyses. With the new application, it is possible for PhenoVation to collect metadata from plant photos and stores them in a single database. Plant photos are automatically analyzed by the system, giving users continuous insight into the progress of crop surveys and projects. This ensures that there is a single user-friendly source of information, which is always up to date and can be consulted anywhere.

“There is a great need for a one-key solution. USoft’s experience in the modular construction of software at a high industrial level is therefore very useful. With our expertise, we reinforce one another”, says Vincent Jalink.

The result

USoft can provides a major improvement in efficiency in the processing of crop photos.

With the new database, plant photos are automatically analyzed by the system, giving users continuous insight into the progress of crop surveys and projects. “I am very happy with the cooperation with PhenoVation,” says Roel Spans, CCO at USoft. “Together we are creating a disruptive solution. With low-code, we are taking automation into a higher gear, which will enable us to work towards a good result for our customers in a short period of time”.
